Merry Christmas!

Between correcting 2 and adding another 2 new animations, I figured I could squeeze in a lil' painting.
Merry Christmas guys!

P.S. As mini proof I'm doing other things, here's a TINY gif of what I'm sketching and trying to key-down.

Creature Creation

I've never done comics, and this was SO rushed. I know I could do better next time.

RWF 2013 Update

Not my best, but may as well post things up.

Personal Banner and Business Card update

Hi guys,

Merry Christmas! It's that time where I'm finally freed up from school for a bit and I'm trying to figure out what to upload. For now, here's my new business card design and banner change. SO much stuff that needs to be posted, but I wish to revise first.

Updated Colour Script

Hi guys, here's a thingy I did for our group film TEMPORADA. It's obviously subject to change, but figured I should post more colourful things on this blog. Speaking of, there is SO much I need to post. Sit tight, updates will come soon.

Pitch Package for Group Film

I really wanted to have this on my blog, although I most definitely didn't do all the work. This is a compilation of works from our wonderful group. Lots of pretty things that keep changing all the time.

This one wasn't part of the pitch Package, but I for some reason just wanted to include it here. It's by no means a proper colour script at all.

First Idea - 3rd Year

Apologies in advance for the spam of posts. I'm trying to clean up most of this crap off my computer. This is an old proposal of an idea I had for group film. Eventually we went with a different one which branched off from one I offered. However, not like this one at all.

A basic synopsis: A young boy finds a glowing white ball and discovers it's alive. He begins chasing it, and while he's at it his life goes on. He grows up, goes to war, returns etc. Finally the ball slows down and stops beside a woman's feet. The boy and the young woman pick up the ball at the same time. She picks it up and gives it back to the boy. However, the now young man, looks at it and looks at the girl. He realises he found what he's looking for and tosses it behind him. Another child picks up the ball.

I might make this into a film of my own later on. Not for 4th year, but for myself in general.

DREVO Banner Stuff

I'm helping out with a business project my family is working on, and part of my job was creating a logo and banner for our website and overall design. I'm very stuck between choosing the super simple gradient vs the metallic look of the banner. Because, the business has to do with wood-art, the meaning of the word "Drevo" comes from ancient Russian, meaning wood.

Figured this was some graphic-design stuff to post. So, bam!

The banners.

The business card. A work in progress for now.

AAA Concept Stuff

So, here's a small update of what I've been doing. Sadly, this was quite rushed, and I am planning on changing a few pages for my own personal sanity, but it is what it is. Not how I want, but done.

Rough AAA Character

Trying to get into the habit of posting things again. I'm getting there.

Definitely gotta change the posing, and make it readable that he'll be dragging a sword. Updates will come later.

Return with Red Riding Hood

So I'm back. I won't even dive into details as to why I was gone so long. Here's a digi painting I'll fix up a little later.

Period Character Designs - Russia 17th Century

So here is my take on the time-period character designs. I was debating between viking/tudor/medieval stuff, but then figured it's been done so often lately, why not try something new.
I chose 17th century Russia, since ancient Russia had outfits which didn't change over the course of several hundred years by much. I didn't want to do the Romanov time-period either since Anastasia was done and it just seemed cliche choosing the same stuff. So it was either late 18th century or early 17th that drew my attention.

The goal was to create the same character in two different versions:

Background for these guys is coming up next *exasperated sigh*

Time for le Update!

Hey guys, I know it's been a while, but I figured I should post up some school updates since the semester started and I still haven't posted anything.

To start off, I'll post some storyboard stuff.
Here is our Character lineup for a group project. I was in charge of unifying the style between characters, since most are created by different artists.

Here is what our group came up with:
Non-coloured version
Coloured version

I'll post up my storyboard, as well as the leica soon. Just thought I should create a bit of separation between all three files.
Also, I'll be posting up my lip-sync, human lip-sync, painting, character design and layout stuff soon. So stay tuned!

It might take me a few days, but I'll give it my best to have everything up before reading week. I hope to post more of my own personal works too =)
